also to help brakup all the right angles and lines around this room. something leading towards the windows hanging down between the wall and beam (as per layout plan) would help with the rooms openness

the curvy white line is a hanging lighting option . The black dots around the sides in the soffits are the recessed "high-hat" spotlights (pivoting fixtures are ideal)

new lighting

narrow beams spotlight/downlights, (ideally tilting) for dramatic effect onto the artwork and leaving darker corners around the top edges of the room which creates a contrast and warmth. The plans calls for 13 downlights which should be no less than 15 cm away from the wall. so soffets will lineed to be at least 20cm

wood soffets

to hide exposed piping and to house spotlights/downlights which are to be placed as far from away wall as soffets will allow. downlights need to be min. 15cm from the wall soffets have to allow for that

wood beam and dado

the flooring panels are to be used to surround the beam (cutting panels at 45 degrees cuts at edges to close or "framing" the beam to appear to be all wood.

4 round tables

will improve flow down the center of the room from all rec. the original table could be cut into circles at using their width as basis.

mirrors to mimic more windows

Placing two mirrors the same size as the larger two windows and spaced equally apart will create the illusion of there bing more windows. place adjacent they will also reflect more natural lighting into the depths of the room from the real windows.

New counter

using flooring panels to cover a new structure. remove the highest tiles above the partition wall, paint the rest over with green paint. (use tile paint for first coat then use the regular wall paint for second coat to match.)
